Some Background Info

Matthew worked as a Realtor® from 1989 to 1995, when he relocated to New York City to follow his dream as a professional opera singer. His career as a performer afforded him a lead role on Broadway, solo performances at Carnegie Hall and with symphony orchestras in the US and South Africa, and opera roles throughout the US, Europe and Asia.

In 2004, Matt and his wife, Maryann, chose to relocate from Manhattan to Hilton Head Island for a better quality of life, and he quickly gravitated back to real estate sales where he remained until he was hired as the Team Leader for Keller Williams Realty in 2008. Matthew went on to lead KW offices in Charleston, SC, Nashville, TN, Midtown Atlanta and, most recently, in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa where he spent 14 months as a consultant, trainer and coach for multiple KW offices and IFA Hotel & Resorts.

In addition to coaching real estate agents and leaders for the past eight years, Matthew received certification as a coach with Frame of Mind Coaching. After participating in the FOM Coaching program, Matthew immediately began the steps necessary to becoming a certified FOM coach as he wanted to be able to impact people's lives the way coaching had impacted his.

What Makes Matthew a Phenomenal Coach?

What clients say about Matthew:

"It’s great that FOM has Matthew as a coach. He’s really good at this because he’s so passionate about it. He was able to get to the core of my problems quickly."
-Thomas Bastek

"Matthew was very approachable, patient, kind and respectful. He knew how to help me uncover what would be beneficial to me in the process. I couldn't have gotten where I am now without him."
-Mark Joyce

"Matt had the ability to look at things that I wasn’t paying attention to that were staring me right in the face. I wouldn’t have been able to pick up on the things he pointed out myself. He was able to draw things to the surface and show me."
-Grady Moredock

Matthew's approach to coaching:

Matt believes that we all have stories we invent and use as evidence for why things are the way they are in our lives. He likes to challenge those stories and uncover if they are really true. He also enjoys challenging his clients' assumptions and shining light on their thoughts, allowing them to see their thoughts from a different perspective.

What Matthew loves about coaching:

Prior to participating in the FOM Coaching program, none of the other coaching he had experienced helped him discover where he wanted his life to go. He found the key element that other coaching programs were missing was the aspect of journaling back and forth with a coach. Matthew believes that journaling allows him to go much deeper as a coach, and as a result his clients have experienced profoundly positive results. There is no greater feeling for Matthew than the joy he feels watching his clients succeed!
